.::Chosen. Tested. Pleased God. Job::.
"Then Job arose, tore his robe, andshaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped. And he said: " Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I shall return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD." In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong." ~ Job 1:20-22 (NKJV)

The Resurrection
It's been almost half a year or maybe more since I last posted anything onto this site. Haha. Felt a little too lazy already. I'm currently managing another blogsite, a joint-project with a friend. That site is slightly more 'public' :)
Updates:
- I'm working as an intern with Carat Media Services, Damansara Heights. I'm coming to the end of my 3rd week & at present, i'm working on 2 projects, the Carat-Malaysian Tourism Board extranet & the 'Postmaster'. I'm in the research dept. & work is not exactly exciting. Yeah, there's a bit to learn, especially on media terms, but other than that, it's not the most exciting job :)
- The last most exciting thing in my life besides having found my long-lost Primary 1 classmate, Aiza, on Friendster, is my trip to South Korea. I was there for 11 days for the 14th All Asians Debating Championship.
Ok, concerning the All Asians, I was there from the 6th-16th of May 2007. There were 6 debaters & 2 officers who went from my uni, UMP. We left on the 5th night to KK and then to Seoul after that. The flight was somewhat fun since it was my first time on an airplane :P It took us almost 8 hours to get there though.
There were 8 days of debates, of which 1 day was dedicated to the Day Tour to Seoul. The competition was very fun :) I met a lot of people from all over Asia & had a gang of friends to hang out with at the end of the day ;) My team completed the 8 prelim rounds while the other team went to the double octo-finals. Each night, there'll be social events & it's an eye opener to the culture in Korea for me.
I had a lot of fun during the Day Tour where I went to Seoul & spent an entire day out of the debating village, Paju English Village, with Sam, a friend from Korea. We met up with Laurence from Taiwan, Bum Ki from Korea, & a bunch of Japanese in the evening, where we joined them for dinner & fellowship :P We came back only late at night, tired & sleepy, but very excited..hehe.
Our last day there was really sad. I felt heavy-hearted to leave Korea & the new found friends that I found there. I decided to change my flight ticket & stay back for 2.5 more days! Hehehehe...I ended up staying at a Vietnamese friend's place. We call him Long & he's studying MBA in Korea...i stayed with him & his wife for 2 nights :) I spent the rest of my days in Korea finishing the places with Sam, who was the only one free (not because I purposely chose Sam). I took loads of photos in Korea, well, good enough la...haha. If u would wanna see some of the pics, just go to this site. I've uploaded some of the pics there :P
Ah well, I'll 'try' to keep this blog alive. I decided to post up something here today cos I'm pretty free now & don't really have work to do in the office...hahaha. Anyways, it's time to leave the office ;) Almost everyone is gone now. There's a Media Services Award ceremony at Shangri-la Hotel today & most of the ppl here are involved in it one way or another. Tarala!

The 'dying' Miss Wong
Two more days to the due date of the Final Year Project thesis- it's not completed yet! + - Four more days to pre-presentation for my FYP- I can't get the system to work yet! +
- One plus more week before the final presentation for my FYP- the system can't run yet! +
- One plus more week to get my 'booth poster' done for the presentation (it's booth style) =
The end of Miss Wong!

Updates on Miss Wong
I find greater joy in such join-venture ;) Somehow it feels easier to get into Wordpress than Blogger (when I'm in uni). I'm still gonna post at this Blogger site, but it won't be as often as it used to be anymore. I'll concerntrate more on the PerutBesi site.
Anyways, a little updates about myself... currently I'm undergoing a lot of stress to complete the load of work on my plate. My greatest concern is my final year project, which is only 50% done, & I have only 2+weeks left to get it completed! *drops dead*
Concerning my internship, I think I'll do my internship at Carat Media instead of ACNielsen. It's a very strange decision, but I have my reasons *sigh* I look forward to a rewarding time at Carat- not only in terms of allowances, but experience. It's gona be more challenging to be at Carat Media since they do web analysis & development there, whereas ACNielsen does data processing.
Hmm...the latest news is that I am fighting to represent my university in the 14th Asian Debate Competition in Korea in May. If I get to go, I'll leave Malaysia on the 1st of May & touch down on the 14th of May again. My internship starts 21st May, so I actually have about a week to rest. I'm quite excited to go to Korea since it'll be my first time out of the country (& it's not just like going to Spore!). I hope to get into the team... will have to train very hard to make sure that we get a good ranking in Asia! Teehee...
I reckon that's about the news I have. For more exciting news, just visit the PerutBesi blogsite.
Cheers!

Chinese New Year Eve dinner
- Interview at Pintar Media & ACNielsen on 12 February 2007
- Chinese New Year EVe dinner
I attended 2 interviews in ONE day; one in the morning, one in the afternoon; pretty much back-to-back. Both interviews went very well :) Praise God! At the end of the day, I actually got accepted from both the companies!! However, I have to choose either one, and no doubt, it was ACNielsen!! (like a dream come true)...
This was how I looked like for the interview... bought the top a day before the interviews!
#2- Chinese New Year EVe dinner
Today is actually the eve of CNY. This is the day where most Chinese, if not all, have a grand dinner with delicious food (family reunion). Here's what my family had (let your mouth water!!):
Yee Sang
Sweet & Sour Fish
Char-Yoke
Roast Chicken
Stir-fried Turnip & Salad Leaves
Stir-fried French Beans with Dried Shrimp Bits + Fried Garlic
All the dishes...
Vegetable Curry with Prawns
Hai-Jo (Crab, water chestnut, & pork wrapped into a ball & fried)

It's already week 7 of the academic semester *sigh* Time passes too fast. In about 7 weeks time, I'll be out in the industry.
Next week is the mid term break. I'll be back in pj for about 2 weeks (9-25 Feb). Currently, I won't be updating this site so often anymore due to the extremely slow loading of the website. I'll be posting up stuff on the wordpress site...
