Shattered Dreams

Dreams make life more interesting & exciting. A girl without dreams is a girl without an aim & a vision. Putting too high an expectation in dreams could be 'fatal'. Perhaps sometimes, dreams are just a far-off fantasy; never coming through. Yet, there are undeniably many people who can testify that they've achieved their dreams.

This girl placed high hopes in winning the debate competition. She practised, helped coach & build her team members & even downloaded video clips on international debate competitions. Such were the efforts made to secure a place in the finals. Hope. Dream.

Shattered dreams can't be picked up & restored to its original shape. When unrationalism takes place; when unfairness kicks in; when tantrums & ugly character show itself- what we get is a dream shattered, a relationship shaken *sigh* It's not as if she wanted to argue with the lecturer, but there was no rationale to pull her out of her team, which she gelled with, worked closely with, & place her in a team of students who don't know much about debating.

Can she shed tears of anger? Of disappointment? Did she just walk off in front of the lecturer? "Such ugly attitudes shall not be practised", she said to herself. Despite being utterly disappointed & terribly affected, she had to go on, build a new team spirit, & fight the case. Lost. That was more disappointing.

Shattered dreams. A broken heart & spirit. A will loss. Such is life: take the incident, have a thorough look at it, analyse, evaluate, & place it on the highest shelf of the 'Forget It(s)'. Move on. That is what victory is all about. *places smile on the face*
