When God moves, we have to run!

I remember someone saying this to me…I think it was uncle Herbie… or was it Pastorpher...it's Pastorpher... It was during JS04 that I heard that for the first time in my life, I reckon.

Seriously speaking, I’m in great awe that things are happening at the ‘best’ timing! I mean, event after event, I can’t help but finally notice that it was all coming along according to God’s plans. It’s all God’s plan, isn’t it?

I was just telling Mabel how the LORD is calling me to ‘greater heights’. I thought things just won’t happen so soon, but no, I was wrong-eth! So wrong-eth indeed. Just last Friday, I led worship for cell group cum prayer meeting. Uncle Jeff, Aunty Evelyn, and some other aunties told me that I did a good job. Hmm… thanks; all praise be to God. The next thing I know, Uncle Jeff told Jessel (worship coordinator & main worship leader for KWMC) about it in church that Sunday itself, & Jessel approached me & gave me that grin. O-kay.

"So, I heard you led worship on Friday & it was good… next time can lead in church d la…"
"Huh? Oh no no no… not yet. That one was just CG, church is different la..." (giving 101 excuses to get away)
"Aiya..can la. It’s the same wat…"
"Not so soon la huh, Jessel…" I sneaked off after that.

This week, Uncle Francis & family will be in Seremban to attend Zheng’s bro’s wedding; Jessel was invited as well & he’s going. What I heard was that Shibu is gonna lead worship this Sunday & I’ve volunteered to help him out. I could play the guitar or the bass, and sing at the same time! (Yeah, I’ve learnt how to sing & play bass at the same time! Teehee…)

The number on my hand-phone screen showed 0327700001. I knew who it was right away. That number is no foreigner on my list. Yes, it’s Jessel. In my mind I’ve expected the call to be about helping Shibu out on Sunday. *the voice of the Lord came forth*

"Are you around this Sunday ar?"
"Ya… I’ll help Shibu, no worries."
"Erm… Shibu can’t make it last minute…"
"Oh no, you’re not gonna tell me that… oh no no no… I’m not leading, am I?"
"Er… yes."
"NO! Hey, just because Uncle Jeff told you last week, so you could just call me to step in la…"
"Well, I’ve some hymns as back-up, but if I tell you the back-up, you won’t lead d la…"
*silence*sighs*
"Okay, I’ll do in submission & obedience…"

So, yes, now I have to look for songs & get myself prepared. Bummer. When God moves, we have to run to keep up to His pace. It’s my FIRST time leading a church service’s worship!! This is not even my home church! *faints* What is God trying to tell me? ‘Leave my comfort zone & go out to serve in the unknown’? or is it ‘Let go of what you have & let Me lead you to greater heights’? Kin Hup kept saying that he told me to not think about PJ Trinity & focus on serving here a year ago, but I just turn a deaf ear on him.

So is this true after all?
