With 70 Cents in Your Pocket While At the KL Sentral LRT Station (& you can’t get home with that 70 cents), You Can Still do 10 VERY Feasible Things!
- Just pray for God to send you an angel.
- Call/sms your sister who is 300km away from where you are & ask her to get someone to save you.
- If you can’t get a train back all the way to PJ with that 70 cents, at least use that 70 cents to get one more station ahead.
- If 70 cents isn’t enough to get to the next station nearer to PJ, ask anyone at the station for more coins to get you back. As we’ve learnt, "Ask & you shall receive, seek & you shall find, knock & the door will be opened unto you."
- Go to the nearest mamak, buy a roti canai with those 70 cents, and call your dad to pick you up after work, while you try to enjoy your simple meal. (Oh, I'm SO Malaysian!)
- Stand at some busy area, place a cloth or just some container at your feet & start singing, in hopes that people who pass by will drop some coins into it. Those coins could get you home.
- Get a taxi home & ask your family to pay for the fare.
- Just use what the Lord has blessed you with- your legs. Walk home lah. If you feel that it’s d*** far to walk all the way home, just walk the maximum distance you could go, then start thinking of some other ways to get you home lah.
- Walk to the federal highway near the Mid Valley, & get a bus, paying the 70 cents, & pray that the 70 cents could at least get you to church.
- Call your best friend to get someone to pick you up from the station.
This list is specially dedicated to my dearest sister, who actually sms-ed me just now after work to tell me that she has only 70 cents & she’s stuck at KL Sentral LRT station. She can’t possibly get home by train with just SEVENTY CENTS!!! Oh, like what could I do?? I’m like at least 300km away… hello?? I was just wondering, "How can she travel & finally realise that she's only left with 70 cents???" Coming to think of it, working at JW Marriot doesn't guarantee that you will have the enough cash to even get you home! Bah.
*sigh* Sisters. People don’t call me ‘mother-ish’ for no reason. BAH. I gave her some of the options above & laughed my head off…hahaha. She told me that it wasn’t the best time for jokes when she’s in desperation to get home but has just 70 cents.
Ok, ok… I’ll see what I can do. The only person I could think of was Kenneth. *sigh* Everything Kenneth. Thankfully he said he could go get my sister, which he did lah. He took the LRT to KL Sentral just to get her back. Friends. What would I do without them. Huhu… I really thank the LORD for friends & for that mad sister of mine as well. She makes my brain tick with great delight for brilliant ideas ;) Hahaha...
