And Jia Was Good! Baa...
I enjoyed myself SOOooo much while I was at Mabel's house for the weekend. Ah...it was unforgoatable. Kakaka...the mad stuff that we did, ooo...things that I have never done before in my life, my, oh my.
Day 1( 21 Jan)
Arrived at JB from Kuantan at about 3 p.m . I met up with Fern before we called Mabel to pick us up from Larkin station. Woohoo! It's my 1st time seeing Mabel drive! Ahahaha...oh, we kinda did some crazee shopping and spent quite a bit at Cold storage. Hah. Ice-kacang was next in line. Basically, there weren't many activities on Friday as we arrived in the evening. We had dinner with Mabel's dad, brother, David and his sister. Mabel's mum was at home as she wasn't feelin' too well that day. At night, all we did was just being potato couches. We watched the American Idol and had a good laugh together. Oh yeah, David bunked over for the night. Then we had a great time watching Pretty Woman, and munching down popcorns! Kakaka...didn't really sleep for the night...Mabel had a tough time getting Fern and I out of her room cos we were chatting away and didn't want to move! She had to call for us a couple of times...hehe....had an awesome time of chatting with Mabel and Fern till about 4 a.m after the chat with Fern.
Day 2 (22 Jan)
Woke up kinda early...for me that is. David, Mabel and Fern were still sleeping like babies. I only got to wake them up after about 6 tries. Boy, now I know how it feels for my parents to wake me up last time when I was younger. We had tim-sum for breakfast before the girls went 'shopping' at erm...what is that place called again..? Oh, Holiday Plaza! We spent some time in Salvation bookstore, and then went 'gila' at Parkson Grand. Wow, that was my first time being involved in doing such a crazy thing. Fern was just contemplating on looking for some clothes for a function. We went looking around before we finally saw some really good stuff and made her try a couple of clothes/ dresses...etc. It was hilarious! The 'fitting room' was the main location where all the fun took place. Will spare the details...anyway, Fern finally got what she needed. It was lovely! (Fern and Mabel, let meknow if I can put up the photos in my blog. I dont want you both to 'kill' me for putting those pics up...hahaha)
The both of them went along their way to look for some other stuff while I waited around to meet up with SAnn. She told me she'll be up in JB for the weekend, so it was just an opportunity not to be missed. It was wonderful to meet up with her. Looking back, it has been almost one year since I met her face to face!
The next agenda was to meet up with Pastor Tim for yam-cha. We went to the same stall again! The ice-kacang stall! Aiyaya...the food was good, I have to say. Although it was the 2nd day in a row, I have to admit that I still enjoy the ice-y stuff. It was a fantastic time to just sit down and chit-chat,with a bowl of cold dessert in front of you. I couldn't believe it that pastor Tim used to be a comp subject lecturer last time!!! Amazing discovery that was. Oh, this was the best phrase I have ever heard "Computers are stupid. Don't know then turn it off lar!" Wah-lau-wey...classic man! I nearly fell off my chair when I heard him say that. The way he put it was truly hilarious!
Dinner was really nice--home-cooked! Ah! The fellowship was even better. I have never felt so at home at a friend's house. I like it :) The conversations which went around the table were interesting! Gah. Missing it edi.
Mabel's grandparents came over for a visit. Oh, it was really interesting to have them around. Her cousin, Charlotte, brought them over. Heh. Mabel's family is really interesting. Me likey :)
We spent the rest of the night watching 'Shall we Dance'. Oh, it is a nice movie! A must watch. Mabel, I reckon, was ready to tear off Richard Gere's clothes. Haha. Farnee. After that show, somehow one will just want to take up dance lessons. Heh. We did try to sleep early after the show. But if I can remember correctly, we didn't really do so. However, compared to the 'night' before, we did sleep very much earlier as there was church service the next day.
Day 3 (23 Jan)
Left 'early' to send Fern off to the customs. Actually it ain't that early lar huh. Considering I had to wake 'em up a couple of times before they actually get up. We had breakfast at home. Mabel cooked scrambled eggs! Haha...first time seeing her with the frying pan! Eekkk...Mabel, don't hit me with the frying pan when u see that I write this 'bout u, k ?
My tear factory just couldn't stop when Fern got off the car. Poor Mabel had to keep silent while I try gether myself once again. Gah. She thought that it was another of the Jonah Abraham thingy. Heh. A combination of it lar huh. Anyway...church was great! God does have His ways of hitting me hard. Ergh. Rev Yew was there to preach. He was kinda surprised to see me there. Haha. It seems as if I am seen in a lot of churches. Kakaka. Sometimes in PJ Trin, sometimes in Kuantan WMC, at times at other states! Haha...this week 'round was JB WMC. *sigh* I travel so much.
We had pan-mee for lunch before heading for MYF. David led worship for the 1st time this week. After that we went to the parsonage to help clean up the place. It was fun getting to know the JB Wesley's youths. They are a fun bunch. Ah, JB. Miss that place somehow. Ice-kacang was the next stop...again. I was really, very tired by the end of the day. Went back and plopped on Mabel's bed...didn't even bathe and all...was too tired to do so.
Mabel had to wake me up for dinner. Yums! Home-cooked food once more! Me likey! I was a little sleepy and all, even during dinner, bu ah, I still enjoyed dinner very much. The night was filled with laughter and madness. I can't believe how much silly things we did this night. Oh, Mabes' mum was really sweet. Heh. Caught me by surprise when she gave me a prezzie! Oooo...delighted.
Ah, I didn't want to sleep that night. My last night there! But Mabel was really tired edi. Yeah...after the entire day of crazy cleaning and the mad nights we've had before this, who wouldn't be tired?
Day 4 (24 Jan)
Woke up early this day to make sure that I don't miss the bus. We went out for breakfast--puri! I got to the station just in time. *phew* The bus left a little late, but the driver was very erm...erm...fast...speeding...on the road. I reckon he was going at at least 100km/h! On a trunk road! Gah...
I arried at Kuantan around 4 p.m. Roger was suppose to pick me up. I really do not know who this person is. Kelv was the one who arranged all this. I waited for abour half an hour before I finally got into the car. My SE test was scheduled to start at 5 p.m. I got there 3 minutes earlier!!! It was a real rush! I even had to go into my office with my luggage! The test was as usual tough, but ah, all is over now. I am SO glad.
Time really flies. I miss Mabel and Fern. Tried very hard to hold the tears when I got off the car for the last time to catch my bus to Ktn. Kinda succeeded.
Time really flies. I miss Mabel and Fern. Tried very hard to hold the tears back when I got off the car for the last time to catch my bus to Ktn. Kinda succeeded. Things just have to move on. After all the fun I had, it is inevitable to not miss the wonderful times spent with the Awesome Threesome. Oh, this time 'round, we got ourselves a ring with a footprint--Footprint Foursome. Joce is part of it. Kakaka...wonderful.
